Delays in the Cortissoz were not due to bad weather: controllers

Two flights from Avianca to Bogotá, did not comply with their itinerary, which generated chaos and discomfort among users.

The airport Ernesto Cortissoz amaneció on Thursday in the middle of the chaos that generated the delay of two flights of the airline Avianca. Users complained about the failure of the airline in their itineraries to Bogotá, agreed at 5:22 a.m. and the other for 8:30 a.m.

The passenger Giovanni Álvarez said he arrived at the air terminal at 4:00 a.m. because it left before its municipality Sabanalarga.

However, when he was checking in, the airline told him and more than 100 passengers that the flight was rescheduled for later, without informing them at the time for what time.

“I had an appointment at the Institute of Cancerology at 8:00 in the morning and now I had to say that I will be placed for another hour because of this unjustified delay,” Álvarez said.

He indicated that he was supposed to leave in a few minutes, on a plane from Cartagena, but that “so many lies” he does not know whether to believe.

“Due to bad weather it can not be anything, because the 6:00 o’clock in the morning left without any problem,” he added.

The other route was rescheduled for 10:30 a.m., according to Diego Gómez Ávila, another of the affected.

Gómez Ávila said that his case comes from yesterday at 11:00 am, when his flight was canceled and rescheduled for 12:30 pm, but that he was informed later to leave at 4:30 pm, due to a failure mechanics.

At that time they told him that the flight was at 8:30 a.m., which did not come out either.

“I already lost a day of work for that game. Look how many flight changes they have made to me and they tell me that because the plane had faults or I do not know what. I think they should plan b, in these situations, “said Gómez Ávila.

The 5:15 a.m. flight was also delayed from Bogotá, which took off 45 minutes later.

Senator Jaime Amin, who arrived in the city on that flight, said there was not much trouble in El Dorado, because the delay did not imply the loss of the game between Colombia. Senegal.

Particularly he argued that for everything that led to the approval of the JEP has not slept much and took the time to rest awhile.

According to Daniel Rangel, of the Controllers Union, he affirmed that the delays are not due to bad weather in the Cortissoz.

“The terminal dawned very well in time and in the same way Bogotá. We do not know the reasons of the airline, “he added.
